ABOUT ME
A life coach with a Master's degree
A life coach with a Master's degree in Clinical psychology and a Diploma in counselling skills, a woman on the quest for self-discovery, a feminist, a writer, a mother, a wife, a passionate cook and a travel freak. These are some of the roles I play, but there is so much more to me than my roles.
Every day, I try to understand myself a little more, accept more aspects of who I am and love myself more than I did the previous day.
My passion is to work with people on a journey of self-discovery and help those who find themselves stuck. I knew I wanted to do this, even as a teenager. I remember observing people at parties, noticing every reaction and behaviour of those around me, focusing on personality types, and studying them in as much detail as possible. Formal training in psychotherapy was the next natural step. I finished my Master's and did a specialised course in counselling skills while working part-time in a destitute home for women and children in New Delhi, India.
I was under clinical training for almost six years with some of the most prestigious hospitals in my country.; AIIMS, New Delhi, Escorts Heart Institute, and Rockland hospitals, to name a few. I was at places where people dreamt of working, yet I felt something was amiss. I knew internally that my pursuit of learning wasn't over, so I started my new learning phase: training in holistic and alternative healing methods. I learned hypnotherapy, Spiritual healing, Pranic healing, Reiki, tarot card reading, metaphor therapy, and theta healing. By the time I finished training, I had found my answers and unique approach to healing and treatment. I took bits from the disciplines I learned and formed my unique, effective and eclectic modality, which I am very proud of.
I strongly believe that everyone has all the answers within themselves; all I need to do is get them in touch with their inner selves.
On this journey called life, I discovered my love for writing. I began a parallel yet interconnected career in writing a few years after I had started my independent practice. I wrote for national dailies for a few years and then moved on to newsletters and blogs. In 2018, I ran a year-long project called The Hope Tribe , a platform for inspirational stories of people who overcame obstacles through grit and determination. I firmly believe there is no better teacher than a tale, which is also my tagline for The Hope Tribe.
Do drop me a line if you connect with my story.
